Stunning rarity from the reign of Charles II!
Santa Fe de Nuevo Reino Mint (Bogotá), Colombia. KM14.1, Restrepo-M66.4, S-B21a, CT-142. Mint state but struck on a small flan so much of the legends do not appear. The obverse presents the Leon and Castille arms in quarters and the NR mintmark is easily discernable to the left of the shield. The reverse displays the Cross of Jerusalem. As specified by Restrepo, the pointed extensions of the main bars of the cross appear on the cobs of the assayers Soto Maldonado (rarer) and Pedro Garcia. Beautiful, lustrous piece to add to your collection of world coinage.
