Russell Augustin, President and CEO, began working in the numismatic field in 1982. He prides himself on service to his clients, building a personal as well as professional connection. He connects via coin shows, telephone, email, and Zoom calls. Clients and potential customers are encouraged to reach out to Russell with any questions they have about any numismatic-related subject, with a specialization in U.S. gold, ancient Roman and Greek coinage, Pioneer and Fractional gold coinage, Type coins, and Silver Dollars, among other numismatic works of art. 

Russell attended both Ohio Wesleyan and Harvard Universities. As computerization entered our social realm in the late 1980’s, he founded NumisTech Consulting, a research firm that emphasized development of the PAR (Price Access and Retrieval) database of auction records for all U.S. coins. His wide range of numismatic experience includes acting as an appraiser for the federal government and as a price consultant for a renowned rare coin fund, as well as for a major New England advertising agency. Russell served as Vice President and Director of Numismatics at two major numismatic retail operations. He also built a numismatic business that was sold to another major retailer in 2003. He also has worked as a numismatic advisor to several other firms.  

It was in 2005 that Augustin established AU Capital Management (AUCM), LLC, where he is currently owner and president. AUCM is a boutique-style wholesale and retail business with interests that stretch from 600 B.C. to the 19th century. The year 2016 saw AUCM begin a professional collaboration with Illinois-based RARCOA in order to expand its wholesale numismatic program, as well as to merge its retail offerings. AUCM continues to operate as a separate entity, but as a partner with RARCOA, offers a massive numismatic inventory at extremely competitive prices.
