The obverse of the Gold American Eagle coins are modeled after Augustus Saint-Gaudens' iconic Double Eagle (1907-1933) design. The reverse was designed by Miley Busiek and shows a male bald eagle in flight carrying an olive branch to his nest where a female eagle cares for her young. This attractive set contains 1.85 oz of gold. The grade of MS70 tells you that each coin is considered as close to perfect as possible by the professional coin graders at NGC.
