CAC Gold - and still in the first generation old Black Holder as issued during the fledgling months of September through November at NGC when it was located in Parsippany New Jersey. There are a few blogs and forum comments on the subject - and from what we can gather there are approximately 30 coins still in the Old Black in ALL denominations!

We did the usual research on Heritage so determine what the Fair Market Value of this unusual item might be and came up with this: Two gold coins have sold in the original Black holder (but NOT CAC'd). The most recent was an 1888 $2.50 graded MS63. It sold in 2014 for $3,819 or 7.9x market). The next was a 1914 $10 graded MS62. It sold in 2006 for $4,313 or 4.7x market). Since this may be the only $20 Saint still remaining, AND GOLD CAC, we are figuring this at 6x market.

If anyone has further information on this item or this subject, we're interested to hear from you!
